Dana Alexa was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and started her dance training at just 2 years old. She quickly fell in love with dance and it became her passion. She went to college at Lehigh University and studied Behavioral Neuroscience. However, her love for dance led her to pursuing a professional career in entertainment at the age of 21. She has trained with the best instructors in the world in hip hop, jazz, street jazz, tap and ballet on both coasts. She has taught commercial choreography classes to students of all ages and levels, for HS and college dance teams, studios, pro teams, semi-pro teams and more. Dana has also worked in artist development, performed in commercials, movies and live shows and built a monster following on social media as one of the original dance influencers. Dana was on staff Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, where in 2019 her class was the second most popular class on the schedule. in 2021 she returned to NYC to be faculty at Broadway Dance Center. She has traveled the world teaching master classes in more than 55 countries and 45 states!

Dana began her professional dance career by representing the NBA in NYC as a Knicks City Dancer and performing at Madison Square Garden. She went on to dance with recording artist Kat Deluna on her world promo tour for her Album, Inside Out. In addition, Dana became Kat’s choreographer and artistic director and choreographed Kat’s world tour for the album, along with two music videos. Dana then relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career on the west coast.

Dana has choreographed and performed on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live and The Real Housewives of NJ. She made a cameo in a video for Tyga and Wiz Khalifa and toured as a dancer and assistant choreographer in China, where she performed, danced in a national commercial, choreographed a nightly show and taught workshops. Dana was then cast as a dancer for a national Lexus commercial and also in a Skyy Vodka commercial under the direction of Tucker Barkley. Dana assisted choreography for the opening number of the Radio Disney Awards in 2015 for recording artist Natalie LaRose’s hit single “Somebody” as well as for the opening number of the finale episode of So You Think You Can Dance: POLAND. Dana was featured in a Pepsi Commercial for the superbowl starring Joey Lawrence and Donald Faison and another superbowl commercial in 2019 for Expensify featuring 2 chainz. In May 2016 Dana competed in and won season 28 of CBS’s hit TV show, The Amazing Race. She has choreographed numerous viral youtube videos and partnered with artists like Spencer Ludwig, Jason Derulo and Fergie to create exclusive youtube videos to their hit songs. Dana then followed her heart to INDIA to serve as a judge for the new hit dance reality TV show High Fever: Dance Ka Naya Tevar!

Dana had the privilege of appearing as a judge for two seasons of “Next Big Dance Move” for MTV. in 2020, she partnered with Afterbuzz TV and created her own show and podcast, called The Dance Influence and featured guests like Nicole Kirkland, BFunk, Nika Kljun and MORE! Throughout her prolific dance career, Dana has amassed a massive social media following, totaling over a million followers across all of her platforms. She is an active vlogger and produces an original series called “The Other Side” that follows her while she teaches classes internationally and adventures into the unknown to explore foreign cultures as well as take part in extreme adrenaline junkie activities!

Dana spent a decade studying wellness, mindfulness and many mediums of healing and spirituality, all over the world. She is a Reiki Master and a Master sound healer. She is passionate about growth, expansion and human potential. She believes that how you do one thing is how you do everything and is passionate about infusing strong mindsets into the way she coaches dance and does everything she puts her hand to.

in 2020 Dana started the world’s first dance based wellness company, Three6Zero. Three6zero’s mission was to create a community focused on light, joy and healing. Three6zero features dance tutorials, yoga videos, instructional and educational videos and chats on a wide range of spiritual topics, mentorship and runs several yearly retreats. Three6zero is an international community with 100’s of like minded members the world over, who build friendships, supportive networks and come together to dive deeper into self awareness, peace and love for humanity. Since its inception three6zero has held live events in Denmark, Los Angeles, NYC and Nicaragua and retreats in Italy, London, Sedona, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and more. Three6zero is so excited to have a new home here, at The Circle in San Antonio.
